Registry Department is the Central Administrative Arm of the University. The Registrar is the Head of the Administrative Arm of the University and Secretary to

Council. All correspondents to the University are directed to the Registrar for appropriate action. Administrative activities both Academic and Non-Academic are under the Registrar. Recruitment of staff, teaching and non-teaching is the responsibility of the Registry Department under the Registrar. The Registrar is one of the signatories to all certificates issued by the University. The Registrar is also the custodian of all written and unwritten certificates of the university. The Registrar is the image maker of the University. The Registry is a major department and the central administrative arm of the University.

The Department handles the day-to-day administrative functions and duties in the University. The Registrar, as the head of the Registry, is the Chief Administrative officer of the University. By virtue of this position, the Registrar is the Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation. Accordingly, by housing the secretariat of the major organs of governance in the University, the Registry is often referred to as the engine room of the University administration.
